SALISBURY, NC (WBTV) -

Salisbury police officers seized five guns, drugs, and other items after responding to a call about shots being fired in the 100 block of Ridge Avenue.

The incident happened on Sunday just after 7:00 pm.  A neighbor heard several shots and saw two men standing in a field between a church and an apartment building.

Police responded and found the two men in a white Volkswagen Jetta.

A search of the car turned up five guns, including a Glock 32, a Glock 19, a .22 revolver, a .38 revolver, and a Smith & Wesson M & P rifle.  Serial numbers on the guns had been scratched off, according to police.

Ammunition was found in the car, along with ten grams of cocaine, digital scales, cash, and a phone.

Raymond Nicholas James, 24, of Kannapolis, was charged with carrying a concealed weapon, drug possession, and violation of a city ordinance about shooting guns within the city limits.  Bond was set at $5000.

Marquis Shahkor Suber, 24, of E. Fisher Street in Salisbury, was charged with possession of stolen goods and altering identification marks.  Bond was set at $5000.

More charges are possible in this case, according to police.
