Bicyclist struck by vehicle in west Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A bicyclist was injured after he was struck by a vehicle in west Charlotte Saturday morning.

According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, a man was riding a bicycle in the 1400 block of Trade Street when he was hit by a vehicle just after 1:30 a.m.

The man was taken to Carolinas Medical Center, but police did say his injuries don't appear to be life-threatening.

Police said the driver did stop and is cooperating with police.  There has been no word on whether any charges will be filed.

So far, no on has been arrested in this incident.

Trade Street was closed for some time following the crash but has since reopened.
