Man struck by FedEx truck dies in hospital

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

A pedestrian was killed after a FedEx truck struck him on Freedom Drive early around 1 a.m. Thursday morning. 

The victim, Cogan Brody Green, was transported to Carolinas Medical Center and died early Friday morning from his injuries. 

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say he was walking in the right lane of the road wearing dark clothing when he was struck. 

The driver, Tristan Jarrell Bell, was unharmed. Police say they ruled out speed and alcohol as factors in the crash. 

No charges have been filed but this crash is still under investigation.
