CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - The major candidates vying to be the next mayor of Charlotte will face questions, and one another, as they meet in a televised debate on WBTV News.
WBTV, in conjunction with The Charlotte Observer, will host the debate Wednesday, Sept. 6, from 7 - 8 p.m. and will simulcast it on WBTV News, the WBTV News app and WBTV's Facebook page.
Democrat candidates Joel Ford, Vi Lyles and Jennifer Roberts and Republican candidate Kenny Smith will face a panel of reporters from WBTV and The Charlotte Observer. WBTV's Jamie Boll will moderate the debate.
WBTV's Molly Grantham will be hosting a Facebook Live feed of the debate on WBTV's Facebook page and you will have a chance to ask the candidates questions during the debate.
