BURKE COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - A teen is facing additional charges in connection with breaking into multiple vehicles in Burke County.
Dylan Thomas Deaton, 17, was originally charged with attempted first-degree burglary, two counts of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, two counts of misdemeanor larceny and two counts of possessing stolen goods.
According to the Burke County Sheriff's Office, Deaton reportedly broke into several vehicles along the Rhodhiss Road and Icard Rhodhiss Road areas in Connelly Springs.
Deputies arrested two 16-years-olds, Kevin Blaine Jenkins and Cody Dean Limbo, on August 10 in relation with these crimes. Deaton was the third teen who was charged in connection with these vehicle break-ins.
On Tuesday, Deaton was additionally charged with felonious breaking and entering, felonious larceny after breaking and entering, possessing stolen goods, three counts of breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, two counts of misdemeanor larceny and two counts of possessing stolen goods.
Deaton's total bond was set at $145,000.
He is expected to have his next court appearance Wednesday, according to the sheriff's office.
More charges are possible, deputies say.
