UNION COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - A new website and app is available to Union County parents for the 2017-2018 school year that will allow them to track their child's school bus location.
According to a spokesperson with Union County Public Schools, parents can now track their children's bus routes on their smartphones, tablets or computers by using the Here Comes the Bus app.
The app and website allows parents to see where their child's bus is located before and after school. The app will also show parents whether the bus has arrived at the bus stop and at the school, the spokesperson said.
Parents can receive push notifications or emails when their child's bus is near the bus stop or whether the bus has been substituted. Be aware that push notifications are only available on iPhones and Android devices.
The app is free and you can download it from the App Store or on Google Play. The app is available in English, Spanish and French.
You can learn more about the app on the Here Comes the Bus website.
