Fire displaces family in southwest Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Two adults and two teens were displaced when a fire damaged their home in southwest Charlotte Friday afternoon.

The fire broke out just before 5:30 p.m. on the 2900 block of Olde Whitehall Road, which is off of S. Tryon Street. It took 23 firefighters nearly 20 minutes to battle the blaze.

Firefighters said the fire started in an outbuilding which then spread to the home.

No one was hurt in the fire.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
