CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Time to start talking about this year’s Komen Charlotte “Race for the Cure”! This year’s Race – one of the largest 5k’s in Charlotte – is Saturday, October 7th. WBTV News is proud to partner with Komen Charlotte for this big event and invite YOU to come out and join our team.

Anchor Molly Grantham is captain. Breast cancer runs deep in her family and she has been an advocate for Komen Charlotte the past ten years.

When you join the team you get two t-shirts (a Komen Charlotte shirt and our new #TeamMolly shirt!) and help fight this nasty disease. It’s $25 to register if you do so before September 1st. After September 1st the registration goes up to $35.

The link to register is here >> http://charlotte.info-komen.org/goto/teammolly2017

Join us and help the one in eight women and one in 1,000 men who battle breast cancer.

Email Molly if you have any questions! mgrantham@wbtv.com
