Father, son injured in southeast Charlotte shooting

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A father and son were shot in a reported robbery in southeast Charlotte Monday morning.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say they were called to a robbery and assault with a deadly weapon around 3:15 a.m. in the 6500 block of Outer Bridge Lane.

Officers arrived to find two men who had been shot. Both men, one with serious injuries and one with minor injuries, went to Carolinas Medical Center.

According to the police report, the victims are 70 and 25. One of the victims told police that someone entered their home and attacked them.

Detectives are working to collect evidence and find possible witnesses.

The investigation is ongoing.
