IREDELL COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - A 34-year-old Catawba woman is accused of breaking into a vehicle in Statesville last Thursday.
According to the Iredell County Sheriff's Office, Amanda Lee Coker Goldsmith reportedly broke into a vehicle that was left at a home on Henderson Drive and tried to steal the vehicle by shoving an object into the ignition.
Goldsmith allegedly was visiting the home at the time of the break-in and was alone.
Witnesses told deputies they saw Goldsmith in the driver's side of the vehicle.
Goldsmith was arrested Thursday and charged with one count of breaking or entering of a motor vehicle. She was arrested in Conover and placed in jail under a $5,000 secured bond.
