Salisbury man wanted in connection to homicide arrested

ROWAN COUNTY, NC (WBTV) - A man wanted in connection to an Aug. 12 homicide in Salisbury has been arrested.

A warrant was issued for the arrest of 21-year-old Malik Eric Johnson in connection to first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon. Jeffrey Ramsey Jr. was shot and killed in a parking lot in the 1100 block of N. Main St. in Salisbury.

Police say Johnson was found at a home on the 100 block of Springhill Drive in Spencer Monday.

Johnson was taken to the Rowan County Detention Center without bond. He is due in court on August 22.
