CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A fire destroyed part of a large house in Huntersville Friday.

The fire broke out around noon at a home in the 7500 block of Prairie Rose Lane.

Images from WBTV's Sky3 showed heavy smoke coming from the open roof of the home as firefighters worked to remove hot spots. The Huntersville Fire Department tweeted a video that was taken of the fire before crews arrived to the scene.

One dog was rescued in the fire. No one was hurt.

Crews have not said what caused the blaze.
