CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - Day two of the American Legion World Series kicked off Friday.
The series started Thursday and will run through Friday, Aug. 11.
Most teams have played between 50 and 70 games by the time they make it to the American Legion World Series, according to American Legion's website.
"But all of them typically will have won five games at the substate level; five games at the state level and five games at the regional level. Once at Keeter Stadium, they're faced with winning five games to become the ALWS Champion," the website says.
The Veterans Field at Keeter Stadium is located on E Dixon Boulevard.
Teams play by the same rules set by American Legion Baseball.
Friday games will be Michigan vs. Nebraska at 4 p.m. for game 5, followed by game 6 at 7:30 p.m. for Nevada vs. Massachusetts.
