Cancer: It's a dreadful disease that has touched either our lives personally, or the lives of people we know. It's equally heartbreaking to see *children* diagnosed with cancer and fighting the disease.
Three years ago our station partnered with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to make a difference. The St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway is a chance for you to win a home by reserving a $100 ticket. Your name goes in the drawing for the home and other prizes. Money raised in this campaign is why St. Jude can tell families they don't have to pay for the treatment their child receives at the hospital, they don't have to pay for their child's hospital stay, they don't receive a single bill from the hospital, so parents can focus on their child getting well.
This picture shows us accepting an award from St. Jude for our efforts, with an actual St. Jude patient standing with us. After the awards her father came to our table, pointed to this young lady, and said, "You're the reason why my daughter is alive today. Thank you."
If you already reserved a Dream Home ticket - thank you for helping in this cause. If not, please consider it knowing you're giving hope to families whose children deserve a full and healthy life. Call 1-800-592-1602, before tickets sell out.
