FORT MILL, SC (WBTV) -

Police in Fort Mill are trying to identify a person, likely a teenager, who robbed a woman in her home and stole her vehicle at gunpoint.

The incident happened before 6 p.m. on Wednesday, July 26, at a home on the 400 block of Walden Park Drive, which is off of Harris Street. Police say female victim pulled into her driveway and was approached by a younger male with a handgun.

The young man took the woman inside the home, then stole a number of items including cash, electronics, jewelry, and a cell phone. He also took the woman's keys and drove away in her vehicle.

That vehicle was found a short time later on the side of Yorktown Street. A witness there said the person driving the vehicle got into a white colored station wagon/SUV that followed him there and that vehicle quickly drove away.

The suspect is described as a black male, between 15 and 18-year-old. He was around 5'8" tall, had a thin build, a light complexion, and short curly hair. He was wearing a turquoise t-shirt, red or pink swim trunks/board shorts with palm trees on them, white low-cut socks, and white sandals.

Police released a composite sketch of the suspect, who they say should be considered armed and dangerous, on Friday.

Anyone with information about the incident or the suspect's identity is asked to call Detective Reap with the Fort Mill Police Department at 803-547-2022 or 803-547-3940.

We are getting a clearer picture now on the timing and arrival of rain for our First Alert Days Monday and Tuesday. We want to emphasize there is no severe weather threat this week, but just don't want anybody to get caught off guard by the heavy rain after such a beautiful weekend.
