MOORESVILLE, NC (WBTV) -

A teen in Iredell County was charged Thursday in connection with stealing several vehicles and jet skis over a four day period in Mooresville.

According to the Iredell County Sheriff's Office, 17-year-old Travis Cole Mosher was charged with five counts of breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, six counts of larceny of a motor vehicle, one count of breaking and entering to a building and two counts misdemeanor larceny.

The crimes began on July 27. Deputies say Mosher stole the cars and jet skis from multiple areas in the Milford Circle area of Mooresvlle to go on "joy rides." Mosher reportedly contacted his friends during one of the crimes by using his phone.

Mosher is accused of stealing vehicles from Isle of Pines Road, Poplis Road and Easton Drive. Deputies say Mosher allegedly stole the jet skis from the community marinas at the Cove Creek Loop off of Isle of Pines Road.

Mosher was taken to the Iredell County Detention Center and placed under a $40,000 secured bond.
