At least two wanted for reportedly firing shots in Food Lion parking lot

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

At least two people are wanted for reportedly firing shots back and forth between two vehicles in a Food Lion parking lot in east Charlotte Wednesday. 

According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg police, a person who was inside a dark colored sedan, possibly a Toyota Camry, shot at another dark colored vehicle, which is believed to be a Volkswagen Passat. The shooting occurred in the parking lot of a Food Lion on East WT Harris Boulevard shortly before 11:30 a.m.

Police say a man inside the second vehicle, who was wearing a red shirt, was caught on surveillance camera allegedly firing shots at the Toyota Camry. The two drivers then fled the scene. 

A man was sitting inside his vehicle in the parking lot when his vehicle was struck by a bullet, officers say. The man was not injured in the shooting, according to CMPD. 

Officers believe no one else was hurt in the shooting.
