CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Two teens were arrested Wednesday for their alleged involvement in several vehicle break-ins in southeast Charlotte.

Around 1:30 a.m., an officer on patrol in the Coventry Woods neighborhood spotted a 15-year-old on Amity Place. While talking to the teen, who police say was in violation of the youth protection ordinance, the officer found the boy was hiding a stolen purse and taser.

The 15-year-old, whose name is not being released, was arrested before being taken back to his parents.

A short time later, officers spotted another teen, identified as 18-year-old Zachariah Robles. Police say Robles confessed that he had stolen property that had been taken from vehicles overnight. Robles was then arrested.

Investigators have located two victims of vehicle break-ins on the 5400 block of Lantana Avenue and the 4700 block of Old Lantern Way. They are asking anyone else who may be a victim to call 704-336-2890.
