One person injured, man arrested in south Charlotte shooting

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

One person was injured and a man was arrested in a shooting near the Madison Park neighborhood Wednesday morning. 

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police say they responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call around 7 a.m. in the 4100 block of Stacy Boulevard, which is just off of E Woodlawn Road. 

The victim reportedly went to the shooter's home where he was shot following an argument. Police say the two knew each other. 

The man shot went to the hospital for surgery and is expected to survive.

Robert Campbell, 55, was arrested and charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.

Police say they are not looking for anyone else in the case. 

The victim's name has not been released.
