Vehicle overturns after shots reportedly fired in north Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

A crash involving an overturned vehicle that happened as a result of shots fired closed a road in north Charlotte Monday.

The incident happened around 4:30 p.m. near the intersection of N. Graham Street and Starita Road. Police said a caller reported that a vehicle shot at another vehicle that was driving.

One of the vehicles involved in the incident flipped onto its side, blocking the road. Police had tape up, closing off the roadway.

Police were still looking for the people involved as of 5 p.m.

Officials have not said if anyone was injured, and there is no word on what may have led to the incident.
