Deputies: Lincoln Co traffic stop leads to arrest, multiple drug charges

Brown Brown
LINCOLNTON, NC (WBTV) -

A Lincolnton man is facing multiple drug charges after deputies seized a search warrant on his home Thursday.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office, 31-year-old Carroll Joshua Dale Brown was charged with one felony count each of possession of a counterfeit instrument, maintaining a dwelling for a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture and sell and deliver schedule II.

Deputies said they saw several vehicles visiting Brown's home in the 3400 block of Highway 27 East. On Wednesday, deputies conducted a traffic stop of a vehicle that had an expired license plate that had recently left Brown's home.

The sheriff's office said they found several used syringes inside the vehicle. Deputies said two people who were inside the car admitted that they had just came from Brown's home which deputies say is known as a drug house.

A search warrant was issued at Brown's home Thursday and deputies found methamphetamine, drug paraphernalia, several syringes and a counterfeit $100 bill.

Brown was also charged with two misdemeanor courts of possession of drug paraphernalia. He was taken to the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center and was placed under a $32,000 secured bond.

Deputies say Brown is expected to have his first court appearance Friday.

The sheriff's office released this statement Thursday:
