An Indian Trail man is accused of assaulting his girlfriend, her friend and her mother all in a matter of 24 hours.

Deputies say he was arrested Tuesday for reportedly assaulted his girlfriend, then stabbed his girlfriend's friend while she was in bed sleeping Wednesday morning.

According to the Union County Sheriff's Office, 20-year-old Quinton Brice Person allegedly broke into his girlfriend's home in the 5000 block of Waxhaw-Indian Trial Road north of Wesley Chapel around 5:43 a.m. Wednesday. Deputies say Person shattered the glass in a rear door to enter his girlfriend's home, assaulted her mother and stabbed her friend multiple times before running away.

The victim was taken to Carolinas Medical Center-Main with serious but non-life threatening injuries.

Deputies believe Person's girlfriend was the target of the assault but say she hid in a closet when Person attacked her friend who was sleeping in bed.

The sheriff's office says Person then drove around the Wesley Chapel/Weddington area for a short time after.

According to the Union County Sheriff's Office, Wednesday's assault was a continuation of violence that started the day before at the Auto Bell in Indian Trail. Person allegedly assaulted his girlfriend by pointing a gun at her and tried to strangle her at his apartment which is near Auto Bell.

The sheriff's office said Person's girlfriend escaped from the apartment and went to the Auto Bell where she barricaded herself in a bathroom. Person followed her to the Auto Bell where deputies found him with a gun.

The sheriff's office said Person was taken before a judge Tuesday where his bond was set at $15,000. He was placed in the Union County Jail but bonded out around 6:42 p.m. Tuesday evening. Tuesday night, Person's girlfriend then reportedly was granted a domestic violence protection order against Person who was then served with that protection order.
