LINCOLN COUNTY, NC (WBTV) -

Deputies in Lincoln County are looking for two men who reportedly robbed a lady when she walked in on them burglarizing her home.

The incident happened around 12:15 p.m. in the 7600 block of Sifford Road. Officials say a woman in her 70s or 80s came home and saw a light brown or tan colored sedan parked in her carport. The woman thought the car belonged to a relative who had a key and noticed her door was partially open. The woman then thought a relative was inside her home so she went inside.

Deputies say the door had actually been kicked in.

Once inside, the elderly woman was reportedly confronted by two people but only was able to get a look at one of the robbers, deputies say.

Deputies said the woman described the one robber as a black male who is between 18 to 22 years of age. The robber was armed with a black handgun, the sheriff's office said.

The man then led the woman into a back room of the home and sat her down while he and the other burglar went through the home, deputies said. According to deputies, the man told the woman he didn't want to hurt her. While in the room the woman called 911.

Before deputies arrived, the men had left with a Vizio television and a small lockbox. Investigators aren't sure if anything else was taken.

The woman was not injured during the incident.

Anyone with information should call the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office at 704-732-9050.
