Teens accused of robbing woman with rifle during drug deal near Ballantyne

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Two teenagers are facing multiple charges for their alleged involvement in a drug deal and armed robbery in a popular south Charlotte neighborhood.

The incident happened around 10 p.m. Sunday on the 9700 block of Rea Road. The female victim told officers that she was meeting the suspects to conduct a drug deal when the duo pulled out a rifle and robbed her.

The victim was injured during the robbery but is expected to be OK.

A short time later, officers pulled over a vehicle that matched the description of the one used in the crime. Inside they found marijuana and a rifle.

The driver and passenger, 19-year-old Christopher Gill and 17-year-old Noah Meissner, were identified by the victim as the ones who robbed her.

Gill was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, possession of marijuana, and possession of marijuana paraphernalia. 

Meissner was charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Both teens were taken to the Mecklenburg County Jail.?
