Man wanted in shooting at Days Inn hotel in Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

A man is wanted in connection with a shooting at a northeast Charlotte hotel Saturday afternoon. 

According to Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police, 39-year-old Deshawn Moore is facing charges of attempted murder, assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill or inflict serious injury and robbery with a dangerous weapon for his involvement in the shooting at the Days Inn in the 1400 block of West Sugar Creek Road on July 8. 

The shooting occurred just before 3 p.m. Police say they identified Moore as the suspect in the shooting. 

MEDIC had initially said one person was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with life-threatening injuries, but police said the victim received a minor injury.

Officers describe Moore as a black man, 6-feet tall and weighs approximately 250 pounds.
