Police: Man shows up to south Charlotte hospital after being shot

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

A person showed up to a south Charlotte hospital with a gunshot wound Thursday morning. 

According to the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department, a man showed up to Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center after being shot. 

Police said they responded to an assault with a deadly weapon call in the 100 block of Oregon Street around 1:13 a.m. but did not find any victims. 

It is unclear whether the shooter and victim knew each other.

Police have not released any information on the extent of the victim's injuries. No names have been released.
