Two arrested in Mooresville shooting, assault

MOORESVILLE, NC (WBTV) -

Two people were arrested in connection with a shooting and robbery in Mooresville Monday. 

According to the Mooresville Police Department, Daylan Grant Hallman and William Charles Silverstein are accused of assaulting two people in the 100 block of Shining Armor Court. 

Police say one person was assaulted inside a vehicle on Citation Drive. Hallman then shot one of the victims in the leg after they exited the vehicle, officers said. 

The gunshot victim was taken to a nearby hospital but was released. 

According to a spokesperson with the town of Mooresville, Silverstein was arrested Saturday where he was placed in the Iredell County Jail under a $100,000 secured bond. 

Hallman was arrested just after midnight Wednesday. Hallman was placed in the Iredell County Jail under $100,000 secured bond. 

Hallman and Silverstein were both charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill and inflict serious injury, robbery with a dangerous weapon and felony conspiracy. Hallman was also charged with assault by pointing a gun. 

Officers did not say whether an argument led to the shooting.
