Panthers' Greg Olsen opens up about viral Hawaiian photo with Luke Kuechly

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - If you're a fan of the Carolina Panthers or star players Greg Olsen and Luke Kuechly, you've already seen a much talked about photo of the two players snapped in Hawaii.

The photo was posted by teammate Ryan Kalil showing Olsen helping Kuechly put sunscreen on his back.

It was posted on Kalil's Instagram last week with the caption "#Teamwork" and went viral with Panthers' fans going crazy.

Olsen appeared as a special guest on WBTV's "Morning Break" program Friday morning and was asked about the photo.

"I don't know why Ryan Kalil did that because he wanted to get his followers up, I guess," Olsen joked.

According to Olsen, he was invited to a friend's wedding in Hawaii so he decided to make it a family vacation and brought the kids and the Kalil family.

"Luke kind of came as 'Uncle Luke' and kind of just came with us," Olsen said.

"We were at the Disney Resort and it was hot and sometimes you can't get your back and it was a spray," he continued. "I was not rubbing his back. You know, you gotta help your guy out."

That's when he looked over and saw Kalil had his phone out.

So - that's what happened," Olsen joked. "You can't ever help a guy out in privacy."
