Endangered man reported missing in Charlotte found dead

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

A Charlotte man with cognitive issues who was reported missing Tuesday morning was found deceased Wednesday afternoon.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police were conducting an investigation into the disappearance of 32-year-old Corey Julius Caldwell. He was reported missing around 8:30 a.m. Tuesday from the 1700 block of Sir Anthony Drive. 

Police said just before 4 p.m. Wednesday that Caldwell was found deceased in a wooded area on the 1700 block of Sir Anthony Drive.

Police said early information gathered at the scene indicates that Caldwell may have taken his own life.
