LINCOLN COUNTY, NC (WBTV) -

A Claremont man has been arrested in connection to a break-in at a Denver home.

According to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, 29-year-old Dustin Dwight Suggs broke into a home in the 6500 block of Wingate Hill Road on April 10 and stole a flat screen TV, rifle and approximately $1,500 in cash.

Suggs was wanted by deputies for nearly two weeks before being found while driving on Ballard Road Friday, deputies say.

The sheriff’s office says Suggs led officials on a vehicle chase that reached 85 mph in a 45 mph zone. Deputies say the chase ended because the officer took out warrants against Suggs because of his driving.

On Sunday, deputies found Suggs and Jessica Leigh Huffman, 22, inside a home in the 6200 block of Ballard Road.

Suggs was charged with felony breaking and entering into a building, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods, larceny of a firearm, speeding to elude arrest, possession of a stolen firearm and possession of a firearm by a felon. Suggs is also facing drug charges.

Suggs is being held in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $65,000 secured bond.

Huffman was charged with felony accessory after the fact of a felon, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance. Huffman was jailed under a $15,000 secured bond.

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office says Suggs and Huffman will have their first court appearance Monday.

Deputies arrested and charged 27-year-old Garry Dale Dolin on Tuesday as the second suspect in this break-in. Dolin was charged with felony breaking and entering, larceny after breaking and entering, possession of stolen goods, larceny of a firearm and possession of a stolen firearm.

Dolin was placed in the Harven A. Crouse Detention Center under a $15,000 secured bond.
