Dangerous debris

Hi everyone, this is Paul Cameron at my desk in the WBTV Newsroom.

DOT crews working tonight and into the weekend to clean up dangerous debris left on I-77.  We've been reporting on large metal pavement markers, working loose and impaling into cars, doing serious damage.  We sent a reporter out to see how the crews are picking up the pieces.

A very odd missing man story from Avery County-- George Richardson, 47, was last seen at a cabin in the Harper's Creek area a week ago, but deputies found that cabin burned down and so were all the known vehicles he could have used to leave the area.  Like I said, very odd.

The first shark bite of the year in South Carolina happened at DeBordieu Beach.  A man told authorities he was out for his morning swim when he felt something brush against his leg and then clamp down on his foot.

A 90% chance of rain on Sunday means our weather team has declared it a First Alert Day.  Leigh Brock has the latest at 11:00.
