Lincolnton teen accused of stealing car, leading deputies on chase

LINCOLNTON, NC (WBTV) -

A teen has been arrested for reportedly stealing a car and leading officers on a chase in Lincolnton Saturday. 

According to the Lincolnton Police Department, 16-year-old Sebastian Christopher Ginestri was found by the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office in a stolen vehicle. Police say Ginestri then lead deputies on a vehicle chase. 

The stolen vehicle has been returned to the owner, police say. Lincolnton Police say the owner reported his vehicle missing on March 30. 

Ginestri is currently being held in the Lincoln County Jail under a $10,000 secured bond. Ginestri had his first court appearance on Monday. 

Ginestri was charged with felony larceny of a motor vehicle and felony conspiracy. Ginestri has pending charges of felony larceny of a motor vehicle, felony conspiracy, felony possession of a stolen motor vehicle, felony flee to arrest and contributing to the delinquency of a juvenile.
