The man killed in a head-on crash in Lancaster Friday morning has been identified.

According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, 56-year-old Randolph Edward Lee of Great Falls died when his car hit a truck head-on.

Troopers say Lee was driving a 2005 Buick Sedan and heading south at 2:08 a.m. on Highway 200.

Highway Patrol says a driver in a 1999 Chevy pickup truck crossed the center and struck Lee’s car.

Lee’s car then traveled down an embankment where he was entrapped in his vehicle and needed to be extricated, according to troopers.

Lee was taken to Carolinas Medical Center-Main.
