YORK, SC (WBTV) -

A man is facing multiple charges for shooting at a car occupied by a woman and her three children in York Tuesday, York police say.

The shooting happened in the 100 block of Ridgewood Lane. The victim claims that she was dropping off Timothy Jamarc Meeks at his home when he dropped his phone as he was getting out of the car.

Being upset about his phone breaking, the two got into an argument. The woman told police she was driving off when Meeks pulled out a black handgun and fired three times, striking her vehicle twice.

Police say the woman and her three children were inside the car at the time.

One of the rounds caused the woman's rear tire to deflate as she drove off.

Meeks was arrested Wednesday after detectives collected three casings from the scene. Meeks was charged with four counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime, discharging a firearm into an occupied vehicle, discharging a weapon in city limits, and damage to property.

No injuries were reported.
