Man climbs through McDonald's drive-thru window, robs employees at gunpoint

HUNTERSVILLE, NC (WBTV) -

Police in Huntersville are asking for the public's help identifying a man who robbed a local fast food restaurant at gunpoint Monday morning.

The robbery happened shortly after 2:45 a.m. at the McDonald’s restaurant on the 14200 block of Boren Street. Officers said the robber got into the business through the drive-thru window. 

He is described as a black male wearing a black hooded jacket, black athletic pants with white stripes down the legs, gloves, and black shoes. 

He was also armed with a black rifle, which he can be seen holding in surveillance photos.

The crook then obtained an undisclosed amount of cash and fled the scene in a black passenger vehicle.
