(RNN) - Another attempted breach has been reported at the White House.
MSNBC, citing press secretary Sean Spicer, reported someone jumped a security barrier outside the White House perimeter and was taken into custody before reaching the fence surrounding the White House grounds.
Spicer tweeted that someone hopped over a bike rack at the secure perimeter near the White House and was captured.
CNN reported the man was carrying a letter he wanted to deliver to the White House, but was apprehended before reaching the White House's perimeter. The letter was intended from someone who works at the White House and not the president himself.
The Secret Service is searching a vehicle believed to belong to the suspect.
Fox News video shows the Secret Service responding on the North Lawn with dogs and rifles drawn.
The White House security level was raised and was briefly put on lockdown as Secret Service assessed the threat.
President Donald Trump is not at the White House. He is spending the weekend at his Mar-a-Lago resort in Palm Beach, FL.
It comes two days after a Secret Service laptop containing security information about Trump Tower was stolen, and one week after a man jumped the White House fence late at night and made his way to the South Portico entrance before being apprehended. The breach was not revealed until the next morning.
The Secret Service has been criticized for its response to that incident.
That jumper was reportedly on the grounds for about 15 minutes. Trump was at the White House at the time and the man claimed to have an appointment to meet with the president.
