Queens Set to Host NCAA DII Men’s Basketball Southeast Regional

CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Queens University of Charlotte is set to host the NCAA Division II Men’s Basketball Southeast Regional in Curry Arena March 11-14. The Royals earned the right to host after defeating Lincoln Memorial University in the South Atlantic Conference Championship Tournament on Sunday to secure the top seed in the region. This marks the second time that Queens has hosted the regional event.

Queens (28-3) wrapped the regular season with a 19-3 league record, clinching a share of the programs first ever SAC Regular Season Title. The Royals then defeated Anderson, 79-61 in the quarterfinal round of the SAC Championship Tournament, before facing Wingate for a third time this season in the semifinal round. Queens defeated the Bulldogs, 79-51, to move on to the finals game for the first time in program history, where they defeated the Railsplitters, 75-72. The SAC Championship Tournament Title is the first in program history as well.
