For the 5th time in his career, Charlotte Hornets guard Kemba Walker has been named the Eastern Conference Player of the Week. He is now tied with Gerald Wallace for the most player of the week honors in Hornets history.
In 3 games last week, Kemba averaged 27.7 points, 6.3 assists, and 4.3 rebounds per game.
He also shot 42% from the field and 44% from three point land.
The Hornets went 2-1 for the week with victories over the Lakers and Nuggets while coming up short against the Suns. All three contest were on the road.
For the season, Kemba is averaging a career high 22.9 points per game. He also currently has career high marks in field goal percentage at 45%, three pointers per game at 2.8, and three point percentage at 40%.
