WBTV's Alicia Rogers shares recipe for Bacon Parmesan Bread Bowl Dip

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Bacon Parmesan Bread Bowl Dip

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf (1 pound) Italian bread
  • 2 cups (8 ounces) shredded Monterey Jack cheese
  • 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 5 bacon strips, cooked and crumbled
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 1 garlic clove, minced

Directions

  1. Cut the top off of loaf of bread
  2. Hollow out bottom, leaving roughly 1 inch walls.
  3. Cut and cube excess bread and set aside.
  4. Combine the ingredients and spoon into bread bowl.
  5. Replace top. Place on an ungreased baking sheet.
  6. Bake at 350° for roughly 50 minutes or until heated through. Serve with reserved bread cubes.
