WEATHER: Sunshine, highs to reach near 60

After a pretty ugly Sunday in Charlotte (for many reasons) things will slowly start to improve today. We could see a stray shower this morning in eastern sections before low pressure on the coast pulls out and away from us. The afternoon will bring ample sunshine with a high close to 60°.

Clear skies are expected tonight as overnight lows fall back into the chilly 30s for most neighborhoods.

The rest of the week will be mainly sunny with highs going from the mid to upper 60s on Tuesday to the mid 70s by Friday. We will gradually increase a degree or two each day. Overnight lows won't be terribly cold, mainly in the upper 30s to low 40s which is pretty typical for mid-November across the Piedmont.

Looking down the road, another cold front may arrive going into the upcoming weekend, perhaps ushering in some of the coldest air of the season by Sunday.
