WEATHER: Chilly start to the day, rain chances to remain slim

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

After another chilly start in 30s and 40s, we'll enjoy another mostly sunny and warm afternoon. Patchy frost is likely again across the mountains and foothills, perhaps even a little in the Piedmont.

You'll need a jacket early on today, but not so for the afternoon. With plenty of sunshine, highs will rebound to near 70° today and again Tuesday, before a cold front moves through midweek.

Starting Wednesday, we'll be in the mid to upper 60s for highs the rest of the week. Overnight lows will mainly range in the low 40s.

Rain chances are slim again this week, with the best rain chance coming with the front on Wednesday - but even that is only a 20% chance.  Dry weather will likely hold again for the second part of the week and probably into the weekend as well.
