Being active isn't just about an actual workout at the gym, Zumba or yoga. I've found the key to re-training your mind to think about how to be more active means sneaking in little bursts of physical activity any way you can!

Some examples: Park at the end of the lot whenever you head to the grocery store or mall. Take the stairs at work. Get up and physically go and talk to a co-worker or supervisor instead of sending an email. Go on a long walk with your kids or grandkids. Walk or run in place during the commercial breaks while watching TV.

Another key? Try not to sit more than a hour at a time. Especially at work. Get up once an hour and take a lap around the building or the parking lot. You'd be surprised how it clears your mind and help you refocus once back at your desk.
