Relatives among three charged in killing of Hickory woman

HICKORY, NC (WBTV) -

Three suspects, including two relatives, have been arrested and charged in connection to the killing of a 66-year-old Hickory woman. 

Hickory police were called Tuesday evening in reference to a death case at a home on 9th Avenue NE, where they found Patricia Diane Swink dead inside.

Thursday, Hickory police said Swink's niece, 49-year-old Tina Louise Swink, and that woman's son, 33-year-old Micky Lee Swink, were charged in the case. A third suspect, 39-year-old Richard Lee Deal, was also charged. 

Patricia Swink's vehicle was also stolen from the home, but has since been recovered. 

Micky Swink was charged with murder, larceny of a motor vehicle and possession of a stolen motor vehicle. Tina Swink was charged with murder in the case. Deal was charged with accessory after the fact. 

Investigators say they made the arrests after hours of investigating and conducting numerous interviews. Patricia Swink's autopsy results are pending, and deputies say the investigation is ongoing.

A motive has not been released. 

The suspects have a court date of Nov. 22.
