WEATHER: Warm, dry forecast for trick-or-treaters

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

The next few days may not be record breaking, but they will still be unseasonably warm. We will start Halloween morning in a very mild way. Daybreak readings are in the middle 50s and we'll jump back in to the 70s by midday.

There will be no need to worry about a jacket with the Halloween costume since highs will be in the upper 70s and evening temperatures will be falling from the 70s to the upper 60s under partly cloudy skies.

Tuesday through Thursday will remain above average, but there will be some fluctuations in high temperatures. With lots of clouds in place Tuesday, afternoon readings will fall back to the lower 70s.

We'll jump back to near 80° Wednesday and Thursday before a strong front rolls in cooling us down again for Friday and the weekend.

Rain chances will stay very low this week. The best chances will be Thursday and Friday as that next front moves through. Still, those chances will be limited to 10-20%.

By next weekend, we will find our way back to near 70° for highs, cooler, but still slightly above average for early November.
