CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - A weak front is moving in from the west this morning, so as dew points creep up and some clouds move in out ahead of it, overnight lows didn't fall nearly as low as last night. That means your morning commute temps will be closer to about 50° or about 10° above Wednesday morning's temps.
This afternoon will still be fairly seasonable, with highs just barely creeping into the low to mid 70s. Something else we haven't seen too much of this week are clouds, and there will be more of those floating around during the day. However, rainfall is still lacking, and although there is a slim 20% chance of a small shower here or there, no substantial rainfall is expected.
Beyond that, we are once again flirting with 80s as we head into the last weekend of October. Standing record high temps are 82° on Saturday and 84° on Sunday, and believe it or not, we may be within a few degrees of those records on both days. You'll want to dress for the warmth if you're headed out for the Panthers' return to Bank of America for Sunday's 1 p.m. kickoff. Beyond that, we're warm and dry through Halloween Monday.
