CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) - With high pressure firmly in control, we'll have a little break from any dramatic temperature swings. Afternoon readings will hover around 70° for a high the next two days. Today will be mainly sunny.
Thursday will be mainly cloudy. With the clouds in place, the best chance for rain this week will be on Thursday, as a cold front passes through. Unfortunately for our increasingly dry conditions, that front only brings with it a 20% chance. That means most of us will stay dry all week.
The air mass behind this next front is not very cold, and so after the front moves through, temperatures will actually go up. Highs will be in the upper 70s on Friday and then close to 80° for both days of the weekend under mostly sunny skies.
