Dog rescued in north Charlotte house fire

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

A dog was rescued in a north Charlotte house fire Tuesday morning. 

The Charlotte Fire Department was called to the two-story house fire around 7 a.m. in the 1600 block of Maribel Avenue. Firefighters reported seeing smoke when they arrived.

It took 23 firefighters about 13 minutes to control the fire. No injuries were reported. 

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
