Two CMS buses collide in east Charlotte, four injured

CHARLOTTE, NC (WBTV) -

Two Charlotte-Mecklenburg School buses have collided in in east Charlotte injuring four people in the crash.

WBTV has learned that the two buses collided along Eastway Drive at Shamrock Drive. It happened Friday afternoon around 2:30 p.m.

MEDIC says there were between 40 and 50 students on the buses, but four people were take to Carolinas Medical Center to be treated for injuries.

WBTV learned the buses involved were school bus number 1661 and 1483. According to CMS. students on board the buses were from Garinger High School.
