And now the other shoe is about to drop!
After several record-challenging days in the 80s, things are about to change, and in a rather dramatic way.
Our best chance for rain will come today, but before you get your hopes up, it's honestly a very small chance for much of anything. There's maybe a 20% chance of a passing shower as a vigorous cold front moves through. The timing of any rain outside of the mountains appears to be during the morning and midday hours. The afternoon will likely be breezy and dry.
But this front has never been about the rain. It's always been about the temperatures. The combination of cooler air and limited sunshine today will limit the high temperature to around 70°.
By Saturday, highs will continue to plummet into the low to mid 60s, while some surrounding areas will see lows on Sunday in the upper 30s!
After that, we will hover close to average for Sunday and next week, with afternoon readings recovering to near 70° most days.
