Salisbury police have arrest warrants for the husband of a woman who was charged on Monday in a case that involved the couple's ten-year-old daughter.

Warrants have been issued charging Richard Burlan Agee with robbery with a dangerous weapon.  Agee is accused in the armed robbery of the Walgreens pharmacy on Jake Alexander Boulevard.

It happened around 9 p.m. on October 12 at the Walgreens on Jake Alexander Boulevard. The man walked up to the pharmacist and handed them note saying he had a weapon, and he wanted all the Oxycodone to be put in a bag or he would start killing people, police say.

Police say they believe Richard Agee may be in the Madison, KY, area.  Agee's last address was 2764 Farley Court, Salisbury.

According to the Rowan Sheriff's Office, Agee's wife, Jamie Dawn Agee, 31, was charged on Monday with drug trafficking, drug possession, child abuse, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, and possession of drug paraphernalia.  Bond is set at $100,000.

Deputies say that Agee, from Granite Quarry, was arrested on those outstanding warrants, but while the car she was riding in was being searched, they also located 75 Oxycodone tablets in a tube inside of her body.

Deputies also found 23 tablets and $587 in cash in the pants pocket of her 10-year-old daughter.

“It’s pretty concerning that a mother is using her 10 year old effectively to transport money and narcotics," Chief Deputy David Ramsey said. “It’s our belief that when the traffic stop occurred is when those drugs, in an attempt to keep the mother from being caught with them.”

The child is in custody of the Department of Social Services.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Salisbury Police Department or Crime Stoppers at 1-866-639-5245. Tips may also be submitted on line http://tips.salisburyrowancrimestoppers.org
